Jobs going over seas means more layoffs and Downsizing

Today more and more companies are looking for cheep labor in other countries. Even technical jobs are being sent over seas to cheep labor markets so businesses can compete in the global market. The result is Job layoffs and downsizing. A perfect example of Jobs going over seas is IBM the computer giant. In Jan 2004 IBM said it plans to move up to 3,000 jobs from the United States to developing countries this year. There was a law passed in 2002 called the Trade Adjustment Assistance Reform Act? This law was passed to help American workers who have been involved in a layoff and their jobs have gone to another country. This one example of the type of helpful layoff and downsizing  information that you'll find at this site.

Illegal workers Raises Unemployment and Job Layoffs

Did you know that another major factor in corporate layoffs and downsizing in the u.s. is illegal immigrants. These people are taking jobs that would normally be performed by U.S. citizens. An immigrant need not take a specific job from an American in order to have an adverse impact on the economy. Using income and demographic data, it is estimated the inflow of foreign-born laborers depresses wages of all workers by some $190 billion a year.
